LUAS SERVICES ON the Red Line have been disrupted in both directions this evening following a road traffic incident near Collins Barracks in Dublin this afternoon.
In a statement, Luas said there was currently no service between Blackhorse and Smithfield due to an “incident at Museum”.
Services are operating between Tallaght/Saggart and Blackhorse, and between Smithfield, Connolly and the Point only.
Luas tickets are being accepted on Dublin Bus for the duration of the disruption.
Gardaí confirmed that they are at the scene alongside emergency services.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic incident near Collins Barracks, Dublin 7, this afternoon.”
“As this is an ongoing incident, no further information is available at this time.”
It is understood that a Luas tram was involved in a collision, though no further details have yet been released.
