Man (30s) arrested after drugs worth €300,000 seized in Wexford

A MAN IN his 30s has been arrested in Co Wexford after a Garda anti-drugs operation turned up a quantity of illegal substances with a high street value.

€299,000 worth of cannabis herb, cannabis resin, and cocaine was discovered during the search of a house in Carne in the Leinster county earlier this afternoon.

The search, conducted on foot of a warrant, was carried out at noon as part of an ongoing operation investigating the sale and supply of controlled substances in the county.

The man in question, who’s aged in his early 30s, was arrested at the scene.

He is being detained this evening at Wexford Garda Station.

 

A spokeswoman confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
