A 23-YEAR-old man has been charged in connection with the investigation into the murder of Christy Daly in January.
The 47-year-old’s body was discovered in a drain in Kilbride, Offaly, on 7 January. He had suffered a number of gunshot wounds.
Daly had been released from prison in December after serving a three-year sentence for false imprisonment. The man had also been convicted of several other offences including assault.
On 14 February, a 23-year-old was arrested and held at Portlaoise Garda Station. He will appear before Portlaoise District Court tomorrow morning at 10.30am charged in connected with the incident.
