FOUR MEN APPEARED in court this afternoon after thousands of euro worth of cocaine and heroin was seized by gardaí in two separate operations.

An estimated €50,000 worth of heroin was seized after a house in St Mary’s Park, Limerick, was searched on Tuesday.

Two men, aged 43 and 40, were arrested and held at Henry Street Garda Station. They appeared before a special sitting of Kilmallock District Court earlier this evening.

In an unconnected operation, detectives from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau stopped and searched two cars on the Naas Road in Dublin at 4pm on Friday as part of a surveillance operation in the area.

A kilogram of cocaine, with an estimated street value of €70,000, was found.

Three men were arrested and held at Crumlin and Sundrive garda stations overnight.

One man (60) has been released without charge.
