Man killed in single vehicle crash in Longford

The man in his 30s was fatally injured when his car collided with a bridge wall.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING the circumstances of a collision in which a man in his early 30s was killed this morning in Longford.

The man was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a bridge wall on a minor road at Esker South near Ballinalee.

The car was discovered shortly before 6am this morning and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí said the road is closed and forensic collision investigators have been notified to attend the scene.
