THE IRISH TRUST Crimestoppers has issued an appeal for information surrounding the murder of Alan McNally, 36, who was shot dead in An Cappagh Nua pub, Finglas on 2 February.

A gunman entered the pub on Barry Road at around 1am and fired a number of shots, fatally wounding McNally.

The shooter was accompanied by a second man, around 5′ 10” in height and of slim build, and the two fled the scene together. They were last seen running across Barry Road from the pub in the direction of the Casement area.

Detective Inspector Kieran McEneaney of Finglas Garda Station said that gardaí are “very anxious” to identify those responsible for the murder.
