Over one million people are expected to take part in events across the country this year.
OVER 1,700 FREE events will be held across the country tonight to celebrate Ireland’s 20th Culture Night.
The annual event, held by the Art’s Council and Local Authorities, is designed to celebrate and showcase arts and culture in Ireland – with over one million people taking part this year.

Stand out events on tonight include the newly-converted Bolands Mills in Dublin making its Culture Night debut with live music, spoken word, and performance across Dublin’s Docklands.
The lineup includes a DJ set from Nialler9, and a spoken word stage curated by poet Jan Brierton, plus a family-friendly daytime programme with a dedicated sensory hour for neurodivergent children.
Another interesting event will take place at Wood Quay Amphitheater in Co Dublin, where singer-songwriter Farah Elle will perform.
Outside of the capital, there will be a candlelit event in Co Cork where participants can create story bowls inspired by Ireland’s fading sun and ancient lore. The workshop blends folklore, poetry, and fire-kissed clay.
Belfast is hosting a carnival themed night with samba drummers, juggling and acrobatic shows, and lively carnival music. Watch the 300-year-old building illuminated after dark, as the festive beats bring the evening to life

In Dublin’s Meeting House Square, Louise O’Connor, sean nós dancer, fiddle player, and set dancing instructor from Co Clare, leads a family-friendly set dancing class with live musicians. All ages and abilities are welcome to join.

Chango Flamenco-Jazz Fusion, in Galway brings together Andalusian dancer and vocalist Fatima Lucia, French-North African clarinetist Alain Halimi, Irish mandolin player Denis McAuliff, and Spanish guitarist Javier Mula for an evening of live music and dance, blending flamenco, jazz, and folk traditions in a vibrant cultural collaboration.
Madcap Chronicles of Wonderland at the Hunt Museum Garden, Limerick offers an enchanting evening of music, myth, and magic. Enjoy a concert by Ukrainian musician and hurdy-gurdy maker Gordiy Starukh, followed by an immersive outdoor show with giant puppets, living statues, storytelling, and live music for all ages.
Join the Green Grannies, climate action champions and knitting revolutionaries in Dublin, for a heartwarming family variety show. Featuring Symmetry Circus, interactive bingo, and a cabaret of songs, dance, comedy, and circus, it’s a feel-good way to tackle the climate change blues.
Westport Jazz in Mayo, invites you to a Culture Night celebration at Madden’s Bar, Clew Bay Hotel, featuring live music from the Donal Hoban Collective with special guests. Immerse yourself in original jazz compositions and funky favourites, accompanied by an exhibition of Westport Jazz posters.
