Customs officers uncover oil laundering plant

CUSTOMS OFFICERS HAVE uncovered an oil laundering plant near Portarlington, Co Laois. A statement from Customs said that 26,500 litres of laundered fuel worth an estimated €30k was seized. It said the plant had the capacity to launder around 100,000 litres per week. Two people have been questioned and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
