• A woman is to face trial in Saudi Arabia after she broke the ban on women driving in the state. The 35-year-old said that she was forced to drive to the hospital because she was alone and suffering from internal bleeding.
• Israel’s Prime Minister has promised “the beginning of a new era” during an interview with Arabic media – the first of its kind – during which he appealed for peace.
• China, long known for producing counterfeit consumer gadgets, software and brand name clothing, has reached a new piracy milestone — counterfeit Apple stores. Yup, whole stores.
• Australia is calling out for Irish workers and is willing to make the visa process easier, but it also tackling a huge labour black market by targeting employers of illegal immigrants.
• The former president of Harvard has been less than guarded about his opinion of the Winklevoss twins - who famously sued Facebook and its founder Mark Zuckerberg, claiming that he stole the concept for the site. Speaking to CNN, Larry Summers described the pair as “assholes”… ouch.
