Second man arrested over murder of Dean Johnson

The 27-year-old is being held at Ronanstown garda station.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a 27-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of Dean Johnson in Clondalkin last month.

The suspect was arrested in inner city Dublin today and is being questioned about the 24 August murder at Ronanstown garda station.

Johnson was shot multiple times at about 12.20am as he walked through Harelawn Green. Three men were seen running from a black Vauxhall Vectra car around that time. The vehicle was later discovered on fire in a nearby housing estate.

A 23-year-old man was arrested as part of gardaí investigations last week.

Earlier this month, 23-year-old James McMahon was charged with possession of a shotgun found during the murder probe.
