DoneDeal of the week: We've got two top-specced Mazda cars with loads of added extras

Style and function as well as great road handling with this 2015 Mazda6 and Mazda CX-5.

LOOKING FOR A family car that is fun to drive and stylish as well as bring practical? Well, look no further than these two Mazda offerings from MSL Park Motors in Dublin.

First up, this 2015 Mazda CX-5 SUV in Platinum trim.

The Mazda CX-5 is wonderful to drive and its handling belies its size.

This particular model is fitted with the 2.2-litre SKYACTIVE turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, which is refined and smooth and quite punchy too with its 175hp output. Inside, the cabin looks tidy and unfussy with lots of nice soft-touch materials as well as more durable plastics in areas lower down near the floor. It has a nice touchscreen centre infotainment system that can also be operated with a rotary dial located near the handbrake.

There are plenty deep storage areas and large cupholders throughout the cabin as well as a good-sized glovebox. The boot holds a useful 503 litres with the seats up and a generous 1620 litres with the seats down.

There is plenty of leg- and headroom in the back and plenty of driver seat adjustment including electronic lumbar support as well as steering wheel rake and reach adjustment. So a comfortable ride for all.

It scored the full five stars in the EuroNCAP safety tests and comes with a whole suite of safety features and extras, including ISOFIX anchors for child seats, dynamic stability control (DSC), traction control system (TCS) and Smart City Brake Support (SCBS).

It falls into tax band C which means it is €390 to tax a year and it comes with a manufacturer warranty for added peace of mind.

This car has just 20,000km on the clock with a €38,950 price tag.

Next is this 2015 Mazda6 four-door saloon in Platinum trim.

The Mazda6 offers lots of driving fun for low costs.

This particular model is fitted with the same engine as the CX-5, the 2.2-litre SKYACTIVE turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine with 175hp, which is quite and refined and mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that drives the power to the front wheels. There is also  420Nm of torque available, which pulls the car nicely out of corners. The chassis setup makes for a comfortable ride even on the longest of journies.

The official combined economy figure is 4.8 litres/100km (58mpg).

Like the CX5 above, the cabin features the new MZD Connect infotainment system with an intuitive display screen that can be accessed via voice, touch or using the rotary controller.

The cabin offers plenty of soft-touch materials and looks and feels very solid and high quality. Again, there is plenty of storage and the boot holds 489 litres. There is plenty of leg and head room in the back and the rear doors open nice a wide making it easy to get child seats in and out.
