Woman released without charge after arrest over Donegal hit-and-run

The body of 48-year-old Alan McSherry was found by his wife on a road near Bundoran last month after being struck by a vehicle.

THE WOMAN ARRESTED yesterday in connection with the death of Alan-McSherry in a hit-and-run last month, has been released.

The woman in her 20s was arrested in Ballyshannon yesterday over the incident but gardaí said today that she has now been released without charge.

The body of 48-year-old McSherry was discovered by his wife on a road at Ardfarn, Bundoran in the early hours of 25 August. He had been struck by a vehicle that did not remain at the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
