Driver seriously injured after his van hits a ditch in Donegal

The crash happened near Gweedore this afternoon.

A MAN HAS been seriously injured after the van he was driving hit a ditch in Donegal earlier today.

The man in his 40s was driving on the N56 at Meenacarn near Gweedore in Donegal at 2.30pm today when his van hit the ditch.

He was taken to Letterkenny Hospital where he is currently being treated.

The road is closed pending a technical examination by a Garda forensics team and diversions are in place.
