Dublin Fire Brigade warning after man falls from ladder while hanging lights

The man was treated by an ambulance crew, but was not seriously injured.

DUBLIN FIRE BRIGADE has issued a warning for people to take care while hanging outdoor Christmas lights, after a man fell from a ladder while doing so this afternoon.

“Be careful with ladders if you’re putting up Christmas lights,” the fire service said on Twitter.

Have someone hold the ladder and don’t over reach.

The man slipped and fell from the ladder earlier today and his family raised the alarm, an emergency services source said.

He was seen by a crew from the National Ambulance Service who responded to the call-out.

The man was not seriously injured and is expected to make a full recovery.
