A MAN IN his 70s has died after getting into difficulty in the water in north county Dublin this morning.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident at around 10am this morning at Skerries.
The man was removed from the water and later pronounced dead at the scene.
His body is being removed to Dublin City Morgue where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
A file will be prepared for the coroner and investigations are ongoing.
It is understood that foul play is not suspected at this time.
