Dunnes recalls travel plug over risk of electrical shock

DUNNES STORES IS recalling an own-brand EU travel adaptor plug – over fears that it might produce an electric shock.

The Irish chain has advertised the recall today, noting that the potential safety issue comes into play “if the product is used incorrectly”.

The retail giant said it is issuing a full product recall “as a precautionary measure”. It asks for customers not to use the plug and to return it to any Dunnes Stores outlet for a full refund.

Note: it only affects plugs that were sold on or after Monday, 16 February 2015, according to Dunnes.
