Ennis gardaí appeal for witnesses to assault

The assault took place at a housing estate in Ennis on 4 April and the victim sustained serious head injuries.

GARDAÍ IN ENNIS are appealing for information following an incident in which a man sustained a serious head injury at a housing estate in Ennis.

A man in his 50s sustained a serious head injury during a dispute involving a number of males at the Hermitage housing estate, Co Clare, yesterday at approximately 6.30pm.

He was taken by ambulance to Limerick Regional Hospital, where his condition is described as critical, said gardaí.

A technical examination of the scene has been carried out and investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
