Multiple units of Dublin Fire Brigade tackling gorse blaze on Three Rock

There are reports of homes being evacuated in the area.

SIX UNITS OF Dublin Fire Brigade are tackling a gorse blaze in the south of the city that has been ongoing since earlier this evening.

The service confirmed the fire, at Barnacullia on Three Rock Mountain, was still being dealt with by firefighters tonight.

Numerous emergency calls have been received and a water tanker has been taken to the scene.

A barman at the Blue Light pub in Barnacullia said the fire appeared to be getting worse, and was just a few hundred yards from the bar.

Four or five houses in the area had been evacuated, he said.

There are no reports of any injuries.
