Gardaí investigate fire at Waterford business premises

This comes after a crime spree in Waterford city last month saw a number of buildings being set on fire.

EMERGENCY SERVICES ARE attending a fire in Dungarvan, Waterford.

The blaze broke out at a commercial property on O’Connell Street at around 10 am this morning.

The fire service and gardaí attended the scene. Gardaí are now investigating.

No serious injuries have been reported but one person is believed to be in hospital with burns.

Gardaí have not confirmed whether they believe the fire was started in suspicious circumstances.

The road is now closed and motorists are advised to take alternative routes.
