Four arrested in connection with murder of Michael Kelly in Dublin

The 27-year-old was shot at Grand Canal Place on 15 July.

FOUR PEOPLE HAVE been arrested today in connection with the murder of Michael Kelly who was shot dead in Dublin on 15 July.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident where the 27-year-old was found with “obvious gunshot wounds”. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A short time later gardaí recovered a firearm from a burnt out vehicle in Rialto. At the time, a number of appeals were made about the shooting and the vehicle as the incident had taken place adjacent to the Luas tram line.

Today gardaí said that one man and three women, aged in their mid 30s to 40s, were arrested in connection with the incident.

They are currently being detained at Pearse Street, Kilmainham and Kevin Streer Garda stations.
