Four more people charged over murder of teenager Becky Watts

It comes one day after the teenager’s stepbrother appeared in court charged in connection with her murder.

POLICE IN ENGLAND have charged four more people over the murder of 16-year-old Becky Watts.

It comes just one day after the teenager’s stepbrother and his girlfriend appeared in court, charged in connection with her murder.

In a statement today, police in Bristol confirmed that the four people, all in their 20s, were charged with assisting an offender.

“Karl Demetrius, 29, Donovan Demetrius, also 29, Jaydene Parsons, 23, all of Barton Court, Bristol, and James Ireland, 23, of Richmond Villas, Avonmouth, have all been charged with assisting an offender,” Avon and Somerset police said in a statement.

The four are due to appear before Bristol Magistrate’s Court this afternoon.

A fifth person, a 23-year-old man who was also arrested on Monday, has been released without charge.

Nathan Matthews, the 28-year-old stepbrother of Becky Watts, was charged with her murder earlier this week. His girlfriend, 21-year-old Shauna Hoare, is charged with perverting the course of justice.

Becky Watts was last seen on 19 February and was reported missing the following day.

Her body, which is believed to have been cut up into parts, was discovered at a house in Barton Court in Bristol on Monday night.
