GARDAÍ HAVE MADE a fresh appeal for information after a cyclist was killed in a serious crash near Knock Airport Friday, 28 February.
The incident occurred on the N17 in Co Mayo today on the road between the airport and Charlestown.
The man, who was in his 60s, was found at around 12:20pm, and was brought by ambulance to hospital.
He suffered life-threatening injuries at the time and has since passed away.
Investigators sought to clarify whether there was more than one vehicle involved.
Any road users who were on the N17 between the airport and Charlestown between 11:45am and 12:20pm on 28 February and may have footage – such as dash-cam – are asked to contact Gardaí.
The Garda spokesperson said that anyone with information is asked to contact Swinford Garda Station on 09492 52990, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
