FSAI recalls batch of baby food over possible contamination with rubber glove

250g jars of Cheesy Broccoli Bake sold in Boots Ireland are affected.

THE FOOD SAFETY Authority of Ireland has recalled a batch of Cow & Gate baby food over the possibility that it has been contaminated with pieces of rubber glove.

The authority has issued a recall for 250g jars of Cheesy Broccoli Bake for children aged 10 months or more, with a ‘best before’ date of 28 December 2020.

According to the FSAI, some jars of the batch contain small pieces of a thin blue rubber glove, but no other batches of the product or any other Cow & Gate products are affected.

The implicated batch is sold by Boots Ireland only.

The authority has asked wholesalers and retailers to remove these products from shelves and to display point-of-sale notices to inform customers.
