The money was uncovered in two separate searches, €160,000 was found in two cars in the Blanchardstown at around 9:30 yesterday morning while another €100,000 was found in a follow up search of houses in Clonsilla and Neilstown.
Two men, one in his 20s and the other in his 40s, were arrested when the cash was found in the cars and are being held at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
