Gardaí seize €70,000 worth of cocaine in Wexford

Gardaí seized the drugs after they stopped a car at O’Rahilly Place in Wexford town.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested and €70,000 worth of cocaine seized in Wexford.

Gardaí seized the drugs after they stopped a car at O’Rahilly Place in Wexford town in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The occupants of the car – two men aged in their 30s – were arrested at the scene.

The men were taken to Wexford Garda Station and detained for questioning under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Both men are due before a sitting of Gorey District Court this morning charged in connection with the case.

The arrests were made as part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Wexford area.
