Gardaí name road crash victim

GARDAÍ HAVE NAMED THE man who died after being struck by a car in the early hours of Saturday morning. Patrick Murphy, 41, of Greenview Apartment, The Brook, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, was hit by a car as he walked on the N11 at Coyne’s Cross, near Ashford. A 21-year-old man was questioned regarding the incident, but was subsequently released. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the incident.
