Do you record at concerts?

Billie Eilish says that recording and sharing concert footage ‘keeps us connected’.

PHONES IN THE air are a common sight at live events and depending on who you ask, it’s something that feels either completely natural or deeply irritating.

Some musicians have taken steps to prevent filming at their concerts. Bob Dylan, Phoebe Bridgers and Harry Styles are among the artists who have played phone-free gigs in the past year.

That said, not every performer is against it. Pop star Billie Eilish recently defended fans, particularly younger audiences, who record videos at her concerts.

Speaking to NME, Eilish said that fans “want to share their experiences” and admitted she also enjoys taking videos to watch back afterwards.

The 24-year-old singer added that while there are negatives to it, she believes it “keeps us connected”.

“The idea that we get to share… I wouldn’t have a career without the internet.”

While that’s one artist’s perspective, we want to hear yours.

So, we’re asking: Do you film gigs on your phone?
