Second chance

A month after its one day sale, Google Glass is now on sale to all in the US

Although they’re in limited supply, and will still set you back $1,500.

THOSE WHO MISSED Google’s one day sale of its wearable device Google Glass will now have another chance to get them.

The company is still running its Glass Explorer Program, and is still limiting orders to those living in the US, but it means anyone interested in buying a pair can now get them, provided it still has units in stock.

Speaking about the one-day sale held last month, the company said the response to it was “overwhelming,” and it had to close it early as it almost ran out of stock. It built up its inventory since then and for now, there is no deadline for ordering them.

Since the glasses are still in beta mode, it means the price for getting one is still $1,500, but the company is expected to officially launch the device later this year.

Originally, it slowly released the device to those who signed up to its Explorers program, but now the company says it plans to “accelerate new ways to expand the program in the weeks and months ahead.”

Alongside its work on Google Glass, the company has also been focusing on smartwatches with its Android Wear system. The first smartwatch to include the OS, LG’s G watch, is expected to go on sale later this summer.
