Deals website Groupon announces 20 new jobs for Dublin

The new jobs are in the company’s software development centre. It already employs 12 people in Dublin.

THE DEAL-OF-THE-DAY website Groupon has announced that it is to recruit for 20 new full-time jobs at its new software development centre in Dublin.

The company is looking for experienced software engineers, computer programmers, data scientists, and computational marketers as well as new college graduates in related disciplines.

The site specialises in delivering daily deals and real-time digital coupons for consumers and businesses and currently employs 12 people in Ireland as part of more than 10,000 people in 48 countries.

It hopes that the positions will be filled by the end of the year.

“Today’s announcement that it [Groupon] is adding to the long list of global giants in this sector in establishing an operation and recruiting 20 people in Dublin confirms that we are making major progress in this area,” Jobs Minister Richard Bruton claimed.

Those who wish to apply for the jobs can do so on the Groupon jobs website.
