A 46-YEAR-OLD man is in hospital, being treated for serious face and head injuries, following an assault in Belfast City Centre last night.
While outside a shoe shop on High Street at about 9.30pm, the victim was attacked and pushed to the ground by two men who stamped on his head.
His condition is now said to be stable.
Both of the attackers are described as having shaved heads. One is believed to have been wearing a striped shirt, the other a blue shirt.
Police in the city have appealed to witnesses, stating there would have been a number of people in the area at the time.
