TAKING A DIP in the Atlantic ocean or the Irish sea has become somewhat of a Christmas Day tradition in coastal communities.
It’s a mild and sunny day in most parts of the country, making for excellent swimming conditions – that is, if you can brave the cold.
If you went for a dip today and you’d like your photos to be included in our piece, send them to pictures@thejournal.ie. Please include your names and location.
Here’s how some of the festive swimmers got on.
