THE FIANNA FÁIL Ard Fheis has got underway at the RDS in Dublin this evening with party leader Micheál Martin delivering his opening address.
The event kicked off under the shadow of the impending Mahon Tribunal report and the resignation of deputy leader Éamon Ó Cuív over the party’s stance on the upcoming EU fiscal compact referendum – issues both addressed by Martin in his maiden leader’s speech.
The party is attempting to reinvigorate itself following the historic election loss last year and attendees will be discussing the overarching theme of ‘renewal’ this weekend.
