An alert was issued to staff at the Dublin hospital earlier today after it reached full capacity. The alert level has since been lowered with some pressures in the emergency department still being experienced.

The hospital closed more than 30 beds on 29 December and will close the rest by the end of January, the INMO has said. The hospital has said that it is putting measures in place “with patient safety in mind”.
