IRELAND WILL COMPETE in the Junior Eurovision today alongside 17 other countries.
The song contest, which will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia, will be aired live on TG4 at 4pm Irish time. It is the twenty third iteration of the contest.
The 18 counties taking part are: Ireland; Malta; Azerbaijan; Croatia; San Marino; Armenia; Ukraine; Netherlands; Poland; North Macedonia; Montenegro; Italy; Portugal; Spain; Georgia; Cyprus; France; and Albania.
People can vote for the winner from anywhere in the world. The contest differs from its senior contest as voters can cast votes for their own country’s entry.
Cork teenager Lottie O’Driscoll Murray will be representing Ireland with her song Rúin. The 14 year old is Ireland’s tenth entry into the junior contest.
Lottie has performed at Cork Opera House and on the Late Late Toy Show. She was chosen to represent Ireland by a panel, which included Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh, after a televised competition.
Votes can be cast here.
Ireland’s performance in the Junior Eurovision today will be its only participation in the Eurovision after RTÉ pulled out of Eurovision 2026 due to Israel’s participation over the genocide in Gaza.
Spain, the Netherlands, Slovenia, and Iceland have also said they will boycott the European song contest.
