Three men released in John Wilson murder investigation

One man is still being held in Clondalkin in connection with the case.

THREE MEN HELD as part of the investigation into the shooting dead of John Wilson in Ballyfermot just over one week ago have been released without charge.

A fourth man is still being held in Clondalkin Garda Station in connection with the investigation.

The three men were released in the last 24 hours and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Separately, a man arrested on the day that Wilson was shot has appeared before Dublin District Court charged in connection with the case.

35-year-old John Wilson, who had connections with gangland crime in Dublin, was shot dead at his home on Cloverhill Road on the afternoon of  28 September.
