Man arrested in connection with Kevin McGeever abduction

The man is currently being questioned in Gort, Co Galway.

A 68-YEAR OLD man has been arrested in connection with the alleged abduction of property developer Kevin Michael McGeever.

A spokesperson from the Garda Press Office told TheJournal.ie that the arrest was made yesterday and that the man was currently being held in Gort, Co Galway, for questioning

Businessman McGeever, 68, had been reported missing in May of last year, and was found on a Leitrim roadside last January in ill-health, with no shoes and the word ‘thief’ etched into his forehead.

The arrested man is being held under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act.
