THE LAOIS ROSE last night won the Rose of Tralee, bringing to aclose the festival’s 65th year.
Winner Katelyn Cummins was presented with her sash by the 2024 Rose of Tralee Kelly O’Grady just before 11.30pm live on RTÉ.
Cummins is a 20-year-old apprentice electrician from Ballyouskill.
She beat out 31 other Roses from Ireland and around the world for the title, which comes with an impressive prize package.
After last night’s show, Cummins was whisked away to the streets of Tralee for celebration, where she was presented to the town of Tralee and serenaded in front of the thousands of people that have lined out for what’s known as ‘Midnight Madness’, and a fireworks display.
Cummins’ prize package that includes a world travel voucher valued at €25,000, the use of a Kia Niro Plug-in hybrid car for a year, a week-long holiday in Kerry, and free hair styling for a year.
