A LONDON DOCTOR was today charged with over 100 sexual offences, with a pre-teen child among the alleged victims.
Manish Shah, 47, is accused of 118 crimes including one charge of sexual assault on a child under 13-years-old.
The doctor from the east London area of Romford was additionally charged with 65 counts of “assault by penetration” and 52 allegations of sexual assault, the Metropolitan Police said.
The force was unable to confirm whether the case was part of a wider investigation into sexual crimes.
Britain’s NHS has set up a dedicated phone line for anyone “who may have concerns or questions” about the case to call.
The location of the alleged assaults and the number of victims cannot be published due to reporting restrictions.
Shah is due to appear in court on 31 August.
