Two more men and a woman arrested by armed gardaí in investigation into Lucan park murder

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED another two men in connection with the execution of suspected ‘serial killer’ Mark Desmond.

The men were arrested in west Dublin this morning by gardaí from the the local Detective Unit, Regional Armed Support Unit and other local units. A 42-year-old woman was arrested this afternoon.

The arrests took place in Clondalkin.

They are being detained in a station in west Dublin.

Two other men were arrested yesterday.

Desmond was murdered in a park in Lucan, west Dublin in December last year. He was shot at least three times with a revolver handgun – once to the head, once to the body and at least one shot into his groin.

Desmond was aged in his 30s and has been known to gardaí since his teens.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed anything in around the Griffeen Valley Park area on the evening of 2 December, 2016 to contact Lucan Garda Station on 01- 6667300, The Garda Confidential Telephone line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
