Man in his 50s dies in single-vehicle road collision in Co Offaly

The incident occurred just after midday near Daingean, Co Offaly.

A MAN IN his 50s has died following a single-vehicle collision in Offaly this afternoon.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Daingean, Co. Offaly this afternoon, Monday 10th February 2025.

Shortly after 12pm, Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene of the collision in Killaderry, Daingean, Co Offaly shortly after 12pm today.

The driver and sole occupant of the car was pronounced dead a short time later.

The road at Killaderry was closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
