Man and woman due in court over armed robbery in Blanchardstown

Cash and an imitation firearm was recovered when the two were arrested following a robbery at a shop on Main Street.

A MAN AND a woman, arrested after a late-night armed robbery in Blanchardstown on Monday, are due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this morning.

The man, aged in his late teens, was arrested following the incident of a shop on Main Street, Blanchardstown at around 11.40 p.m. on Monday. He threatened staff with a firearm before escaping with a sum of money.

Shortly afterwards, the man was arrested along with a quantity of cash.

In a follow-up search at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, a woman was arrested at a house in Briarswood, Blanchardstown. An imitation firearm was also recovered.
