Man arrested after gardaí seize €600,000 worth of cannabis in luggage at Shannon Airport

A man in his 20s was arrested and is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Clare-Tipperary Division.

A MAN HAS been arrested after cannabis worth around €600,000 was seized today at Shannon Airport.

Revenue Customs Officers and gardaí seized around 30kg of cannabis that was concealed inside luggage as part of an “intelligence-led operation”.

A man in his 20s was arrested by gardaí and is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Clare-Tipperary Division.

The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis and a garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
