Man due in court over death of Eugene Moloney

Eugene Moloney was found lying on Dublin’s Camden Street in the early hours of Sunday morning and was later pronounced dead in hospital.

ONE MAN IS DUE to appear in court in Dublin today in connection with the death of journalist Eugene Moloney at the weekend.

Moloney, 55, was pronounced dead at St James’ Hospital after he was found lying on Camden Street at around 4.30am on Sunday. A post-mortem showed that he died as a result of a blow to the head.

Two men were arrested yesterday morning in connection with the death.

One of those men was released late last night and a file is being prepared for the DPP. The second man, aged in his 20s, is due to appear in court in Dublin this afternoon.
