Man for court over Tallaght shooting

Two rifles were seized after the incident yesterday in which shots were fired through a house window.

A MAN WILL appear in court this morning to be charged over an incident yesterday in which shots were fired at a house.

The male in his 20s was arrested yesterday after the shooting on Hazel Hill in Tallaght, west Dublin. A number of shots were fired through the window of a home in the area, but a man in his 30s who was in his house at the time was not injured.

Two rifles were seized afterwards by gardaí in two follow-up searches. Two men were arrested and detained under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Tallaght garda station.

The man charged will appear at Criminal Court of Justice 2 at 10.30am today. The second man arrested was released last night without charge.
