A MAN IN his 40s was hospitalised last night with serious injuries, understood to be from a petrol attack.
A garda spokesperson said gardaí responded to reports of a serious assault at Knockane, Co Tipperary shortly after 9pm.
The man was treated at the scene and brought by ambulance to Cork University Hospital.
Two men, both in their 20s, were later arrested in connection with the investigation. They remain in custody at a garda station in Co Tipperary.
It’s understood one of the theories for the attack being examined by gardaí is that the suspects are associated with ongoing drugs related violence.
