Man in court over car theft

A 61-YEAR-OLD MAN HAS been charged over the theft of a car yesterday. A six-month-old baby boy was sitting in the back seat of the car when it was stolen at Newport, Co Tipperary. Patrick McCarthy, of Mullaly Grove, Cappamore, Co Limerick was arrested after the car was discovered abandoned at Nenagh train station. He was remanded on bail and is due to appear again in court in November, RTÉ reports.
