Man injured in Dublin gun attack

A man in his 30s has been hospitalised following a shooting in Hartstown in Dublin this evening.

A MAN IN Dublin has been hospitalised this evening following a shooting in Hartstown, Dublin.

Gardaí say that a lone gunman approached a car as it pulled out of a driveway at house on Cherryfield Avenue at about 7pm tonight. A male front seat passenger aged in his 30s was then shot a number of times.

The driver of the car was unharmed, and the gunman escaped on foot in the direction of Portersgate.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to Connnolly Hospital.

The scene has been preserved pending a technical examination and an incident room has been set up a Blancahardstown Garda Station.
