Man shot while sitting in a car in Tallaght

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are appealing for information following a shooting incident at Kingswood Heights, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

The shooting happened at around 6.30pm when a lone man approached and fired a number of shots at a car outside a house at The Grove, Kingswood Heights.

One of the occupants of the car, a man in his late 20s, sustained a gunshot wound during the incident and the gunman fled the scene on foot.

The injured man was driven from the scene to Tallaght Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment. His injures are not thought to be life threatening.

The scene is preserved for a technical and forensic examination.
