Man (22) due in court this evening in connection with murder of taxi driver

Martin Mulligan (53) was found dead in September 2015.

A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of a taxi driver in Co Louth last year.

He is due to appear before Drogheda District Court this evening, where the court is currently sitting.

Martin Mulligan (53) was found dead in the early hours of 28 September 2015 in Carnmore, Dundalk.

A post-mortem found that he had died from multiple stab wounds.

The man was arrested this morning. He is being detained at Dundalk Garda Station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.
