US FIRST LADY Michelle Obama and her daughters will tour Glendalough this morning, on the last day of the family’s visit to Ireland.

The Obamas will take a guided tour through the monastic site in the Wicklow Mountains National Park before heading to Dalkey for lunch.

Michelle and her  daughters, Malia (14) and Sasha (12), will later join with US President Barack Obama as he leave the G8 summit, before flying to Germany this evening.

Yesterday, the three had engagements in Belfast and Dublin, including a visit to Trinity College to view the Book of Kells and details of their family tree. They also attended a special performance of Riverdance at the Gaiety Theatre.
